Woodworking is one of my hobbies. I find it very enjoyable to start out with a pile of raw materials, and end up with a finished product that will (hopefully) last many years, if not generations.

I do most of my work with handtools...hand saws, planes, chisels, etc. I do have some power tools, but they're only used when I either can't do something with hand tools, I have to make a huge number of repetitive actions, or if the product is very utilitarian and I don't want to spend a lot of time on it. I enjoy the peace and quiet of working with handtools, and the fact that the tools can't kill me is a plus. :)

I've built quite a few projects so far, as well as many utilitarian things for the house, like screen, storm windows, millwork, etc. Many of the "nice" projects are listed below in rough chronological order...2000-present:
