Cherry end table

I built two of these for our living room. Solid cherry with doweled construction. The legs actually flare out 1 inch from top to bottom, and the width at the bottom is the same as the diameter of the tabletop (which makes the table nice and stable). The top and bottom crosspieces are made with lap joints (the first I've ever made without the use of a tablesaw). Aside from using a jigsaw to cut the round tabletop, everything was done with handtools. This was the first project I ever finished with polymerized tung oil, which turned out great. The stuff is wonderful, but EXPENSIVE! If I had this project to do over again, I would have used through mortise-and-tenon construction to make the Arts & Crafts influence more pronounced.
